PPDO-IsabelaLeads the formulation, coordination, and evaluation of development plans, programs, and projects aligned with the province’s vision and goals. It spearheads the preparation of the Provincial Development and Physical Framework Plan (PDPFP), Local Development Investment Program (LDIP), Annual Investment Program (AIP), and other sectoral and special plans. The division also conducts reviews of Comprehensive Land Use Plans (CLUPs) of component cities and municipalities to ensure alignment with provincial and regional development directions. It ensures that all development initiatives are coherent, inclusive, and responsive to the province’s priorities, serving as the strategic arm of the PPDO in guiding policy direction and program implementation.
Conducts studies, surveys, and policy research to support evidence-based planning and informed decision-making. It gathers, analyzes, and interprets socio-economic, demographic, and environmental data to identify development trends, opportunities, and challenges. The division maintains and regularly updates the Provincial Data Bank, which serves as the central repository of planning and statistical information for the province. It also serves as the main division that assists clients and the public with data requests, ensuring access to accurate and updated information. Furthermore, it explores innovative strategies, technologies, and best practices to strengthen local development planning and promote knowledge sharing across sectors.
Oversees the systematic tracking, assessment, and reporting of the province’s programs, projects, and activities. It monitors implementation progress, evaluates outcomes, and ensures that development interventions are efficiently executed and aligned with established goals and targets. The division provides performance feedback and analytical reports to guide policy adjustments, improve project effectiveness, and strengthen transparency and accountability in local governance.
Serves as the support and management arm of the office responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the PPDO. It handles administrative, personnel, financial, and logistical functions necessary for the effective delivery of the office’s mandates. The division oversees human resource management, budget preparation and control, records management, procurement, and general services to support the planning, monitoring, and research and development activities of the office.
